This is a fantastic video, presented in both Nawatl and Spanish, detailing the ritual known as the “Dance of the Tekwanes.” In Nawatl, Tekwane literally means “person eater,” and is represented as a Jaguar. Enjoy!

In addition to his work in Archaeology and Ethnohistory, Kurly is a professional stuntman with over 35 credits to his name.
