Calendars now available

[ mexika.org ]

As part of our ongoing project to introduce traditional Mexikah time-keeping to the general public, we are pleased to announce the release of our latest publication: “A Mexican Count of Days.” A beautifully designed, full-color, and thoroughly researched calendar that can be hung on your wall.

This publication contains the full traditional Aztec / Mexica calendar for the upcoming year 6 Rabbit, which begins on March 21st, 2018. We are also developing a website to supplement this calendar with in-depth examinations of Mesoamerican time-keeping.

The central Mexican calendar is a living system for tracking the movement of the sun. We hope that by equipping individuals with the tools needed to not just use, but also actually understand this calendar, we help ensure its survival for generations to come. The count presented in this calendar is based on research provided by Ruben Ochoa.
